Hi,
I pollinated a female blossom with pollen from the plant itself 587 Rupf (1385 x 1207) and with pollen of another plant of the 587 Rupf from the same seed, so the pollination is SELF + SIBB together!
But what`s the name of the cross? Would it be (587 x SELF+SIBB) ???
Sorry for my bad english..
Thanks in advance

yep its just 587 x sib.587 x self would be if the male was from the same plant.but if you didnt tie the male and females shut the night before and then tie the female closed after the pollination was done its 587 x open due too incects might add pollen from another plant.

Hi,
yes, Don is right! I took pollen from two different plants, but both plants were grown from the same seed (587 Rupf). I made a SELF pollination and a SIBB pollination together on the female blossom, so in my opinion it is a form of "MULTIPLE". But I am not sure if "MULTIPLE" would be correct...

So one of the following names is maybe correct:
1.) XXXXX Nono 2012 (587 Rupf x MULTIPLE) 2.) XXXXX Nono 2012 (587 Rupf x SELF+SIBB) 3.) XXXXX Nono 2012 (587 Rupf x SIBB) = Version of curtlave (team extreme)
But which one is right? Any ideas?

I don't understand the question. If you pollinated it with the samd plant it is selfed, but, you say you also used a different plant, sibbed. You mean you pollinated it with a flower from the plant itself and then you used a flower to pollinate the same pumpkin with another plants flower? it means it would be selfed because that was the flower you used first. I think? You have to cover the flowers or bee's will get in there and there goes your cross your working on.

@Richard and Master P
I am an experienced grower, so the pollination was 100% controlled. All flowers, the female and all the males, were protected from insects. I used the pollen from the same plant with the pumpkin (SELF) and the pollen from the other plant from the same seed (SIBB) at the same time doing the pollination.

each lobe of the fruit produces seeds inside, some will be self some will be sib. I would go with option #2. Just my opinion I'm no authority on the subject.

Since there is no way of knowing which male flower actually made the pollination I would say just call it a xxxx Nono 2012(587 Rupf x 587 Rupf) - and perhaps explain that it could be either selfed or sibbed when distributing the seed.

It has to be 587 x multiple pollinators because there were two different pollinators and no way of knowing which pollinator did what.
587 x self and/or sibb = multiple. The lineage or family tree will fill in the gaps.

No authority on it but I thought it only takes one little pollen to pollenate it, one of the two had to of got in there first.

yep its official. no one cares, it was a three way ----lol but, for the record? its a 587 x self+sib ----cojoe knows.
id say the male pollon from that first male( which 587 did it come from? ) is the true daddy.
these are confusing times.we may have to call in the gang from special victims unit? pap
