Is the 1408 1161 x 1725 Sweet? Or 1725 Harp? Aggc has 1725 Harp , my seed pack has Sweet.

That has been a question by many including myself. Spence is right and Ron Wallace answers the question here...

Would be interseting to know if the if the 1408.5 did anything this year. It was after all 19% heavy and if you add that kind of heavy percentages with the size of the pumpkins the wallaces are growing...you get scary large numbers!

If you consider only the GPC results, it looks like this seed was planted one time and grew the 1325 Palmer. Not a bad start. Anyone else plant this seed? What about Mr. Palmer, any comment?

Hmm...The 1408 was grown off the 1161. Dad was the 1725 Sweet which was grown off the 1161. 1725 was pollinated by the 1303 Sweet which was grown off the 1161. Three generations of 1161. Hmmm..
This thread is a bit down on the list so I wonder if anyone will see these comments.

my brother grew it, and all i can say is, the plant was a beast from the get go. passed out the 1495 stelts by miles and would have gone over 1000lb without breaking sweat until it was accidently killed with roundup
