For the orange growers out there, the 513 Vincent 2010 made a statment this year with 2 Howard Dill awards. The 513 is the 1059 VMG x 1161 Rodonis. I have a couple I never grew and now might cross that with the 980 Frericks, 923 Gerhardt, or the 993 Vincent McGill (513's grandma). Thoughts, or is anyone else going to grow this seed?

Other future, big orange players will probably be Linus' 1048, and of course the 980. These are just a few I have seen, and I am sure there are plenty of other great ones out there.

Here's a product of the 513. Looks like the 980's offspring.

What a nice looking kin. That would win any howard dill award hands down. Half of my patch in 2013 will be orange.

Here is another of the 513's

The seed has produced some beautys. Although the one I grew last year was almost white, but huge! Lost it late august around 1000 lb! So the seed has huge potential for big as well as beautiful!

I'm going to grow 525 Puricelli and 993 Vincent-Mc Gill and cross the to unless I get some other seeds in auctions I think that would be a good and beautiful pumpkin

I am sure am glad I have some of those 513 seeds. I'm wondering what a 513 VG x 1059 VG would look like.

John, here is the other HD winner I saw. That shape looks exactly like the 1059 I grew.
