Well name calling won't help. You’re going to give the poor little guy a complex and low self-esteem. I’m sure it will come along, I’ve had some start small and slowly develop large cotyledons. good luck

...just forgot to mention this: You pointed out your 1770 seedling looks scrawny. Here I need to add that mine is also thinner and taller than the others which were started the same day. Seems like this is a characteristic feature of the 1770. No point to worry about that, just keep the seedling in a cool place with heaps of light. This should help it grow strong. Also, it probably helps you sleep well when I mention that I grew my 2011 and 2012 best results on plants which hadn´t had the tickest stumps

Mine was the last to germinate but I doubt there's anything to read into that. Germinated in a bag so they have only just been transferred so no pictures to show yet.
Pumpking: I like your pots, its something I have been thinking about for a few years but never get round to doing. As usual your approach to your growing is like a true scientist. ;)

Peter, the other side of the coin is that such pieces of optimization keep me changing my mind again and again, and through the horribly DARKER season I had so many sleeples....minutes....because every now and then I found myself thinking of new plans of how to optimize everything. The only thing I can tell so far is, the seedlings did continue to grow as if they hadn´t felt any change. And: it´s wayyyyyyyyy easier to remove than peeling off a peat pot.

My 2 are up and both looking great. My 1495 stelts plant last year was a sad looking plant but ending up growing me a 1000 that could have made a run at 1800 if it didnt split.

Nope, not this year. This years line up is a 1770, 2009, 1579 wallace and one of my 1000 martin11's. So far the 1000 is doing great. I'll see if the 1000 genetics carry on with this plant/pumpkin though ;)
