grow both..choose one for your patch...and give the other to a new grower. If they are successful they give you seeds back.

If there in the ground I'm assuming. The 1495 has the better chance of going heavy. But it doesnt always follow the odds.Flip a coin is what I do.

Nice problem you have.Wait till the main is safely on the ground. Then suck it up and wack one-let the force tell you

If I had to choose I would.... self the freak so some year in the future it could cross paths with the merger of the t-bucket and the Boeing space cruiser. Good luck in deciding.

I would go with the 1495, not sure how many seeds are left from her but I bet there are more Freak seeds around, you can always regrow the Freak next year.

1756 off the 1789 last year it was 17% heavy! Jim Ford had a nice one off it also and it went heavy. Woody

Isi the progeny of 1789 white color?

Sergio, my 1789 plant last year produced a pumpkin which was close to white until maybe day 30 (fruit C in this picture: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=185197 ), and then it turned a bit colored, and on BP I have seen some other 1789 progeny which were pretty close to white, for example: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=189752

Hence, I think everything between white and yellow-pink-gray could be possible, but I wouldn´t expect any shiny golden or orange fruit off the 1789 seed.
