Anyone have a link to see a picture of the 1655 ford. I went through the 2012 diaries with no luck.

There's a good chance that Pumpking may have one as he planted it this year but I think he's offline for a week or two.

half way down this page there is another pic of the 1655, gives a better impression of the overall shape of the fruit (in my opinion).

Thanks-always need two or three photo angles to tell the whole story.

Oh well, really??? Any chance I could have found out about that simply by reading this newsletter article and having this picture next to it??? If it was my fault, my apologies for the confusion I might have caused. If it was the fault of those who placed a picture of a different pumpkin (the 1169) next to a paragraph which mentioned the 1655 as a highlight (without mentioning the different contents of the picture), then we can only learn from what this might cause.

Sorry, I can understand the confusion. I did not imply it was anybody's fault of the misunderstanding. I just wanted to set the record straight. Our news letter at His Mansion is not intended for a giant pumpkin growing audience. The person who wrote it wanted to mention our feat of growing the 1655. The picture they used happen to be a nice snapshot of us in front of one of our pumpkins. The newsletter was not tryng to imply the picture was the 1655. But I do have to admit I understand the confusion
To be totally honest I was shocked to see a reference of the His Mansion newsletter on Big Pumpkins. I found it a bit amusing that through the internet everything is open to the world.
No offense taken

Well, with the bubble with the 1655 seeds Jim sent a little letter which pointed at what you are doing at His Mansion, and this made me look up that homepage...then found the newsletters...and was curious to find out if there would be a report and maybe a picture of the 1655.

So anybody out there have a good one going on a 1655 Ford? I have one spot in my patch up for grabs next year and I am trying to decide between a 1655 Ford, a 1775 Starr and a 1623 Wallace.

Grew my 1478.Nice problem free plant. Very aggressive root system. Long steady growth on the pumpkin.
