Does anyone know what happened to Garry Miller's 1725 that pollenated his 2009? What did it produce?

DONKIN,

when I read the SNGPG newsletter it seemed that you chose the 13__ Sperry due to its strong genetic line. I think that HeavyForce is going for the same thing.

Sorry Heavy, I dont have an answer to that myself. Im sure some of the other Cali. Growers know.

Ashton you are correct.I used the 1314 Sperry to father the 1634Werner because the genetics in the cross as far as i'm concerned are second to none and it was also 20% over the chart.Thought i would get some heavy into the 1811.Did it work...NOPE.Looks like the 1811 has a tendancy to go below the chart. If grown in my patch would it go light..i don't know. That being said there was nothing sinister about my post above yet some people still like to take their shots. It is not only Amelio that is slowly destroying this site as you can see.

Gary sold the pumpkin on the 1725 plant around September 1st so it didn't grow to maturity & didn't get an official weight. That's all I know about it.

If I don't know something about the male side of a seed, I'll let someone else grow it. If the male side of a seed grew a big one too, that makes me want to grow it. Just from growing my own seed, my experience is that most of the time the offspring resemble the male side, in fact I'm not sure I've ever grown one of my seeds that took after the mother.
