I planted 7 seeds from a giant pumpkin here in Brazil, but died. I need to get a giant pumpkin for a contest in April here in Brazil. I'm looking for the possibility to buy a giant pumpkin and bring to Brazil. Anyone have a giant pumpkin to sell me and I bring to Brazil at the end of March? MY CONTACT IS: on.air.mkt@gmail.com or cristiano.stuani@paiquerefm.com.br. Thanks

You should post this on the "Growing in Australia" and "Growing in New Zealand" section of the message board, because the growers from the southern hemisphere will be the ones who might have a pumpkin available around March.

Cristiano,
Bem, e' verdade.;-)

OK, ok, I really enjoyed breaking out the Portuguese. I was telling Cristiano that if I mark a package of seeds as seeds, Brasilian customs will send them back to me. There aint no way an actual pumpkin is getting through! Not enough time left for an April weighoff, but I offered to send seeds anyway. (No time for an April weighoff, when you consider that it may take another six weeks for seeds to get through customs!)

A contest, oh well, I also noticed Stuani mentioned to need this pumpkins for a contest...and Stuani did not point out which kind of contest! A giant pumnpkin as a deco element for a beauty contest (Miss Farmgirl Brazil), or maybe for a guess the weight contest in context of an agricultural show etc. etc., there could be so many contests which simply aren´t pumpkin weigh-offs. Just thinking (and just telling).
