Noticed that this plant (the 1409 Miller plant) grew the 1104 Wallace pumpkin??? (the 1104 is 1409 x 1789)...hence, the link I´ve posted actually contains highly interesting background of the 1104.

...now I see, you got confused because the thread my link is pointing at doesn´t mention the 1104. No worries, the plant Pap wrote about was the plant which produced the 1104. The pollinator plant (1789) produced "Pleasure Dome" as far as I know.

Benj, have you contacted Pap Wallace? He can answer your questions on the 1104.

I believe the 1104 has some serious potential, It grew 1320 its first year out, and I believe only a few where planted, maybe even one... Pollinator grew the "Dome". Just look at what the 1623 has produced with such an amazing pollinator. I'm thinking the 1104 will definitely be one of my back-ups this season.

Benj. The 1104 is the 1409 Miller x 1789 Wallace that grew the 1872 "pleasure Dome" Wallace seed. 1409 Miller has been known to through heavy pumpkins. I believe the 1409 Miller is the 1662 x 1658 Young. And the 1789 Wallace is the 1725 Harp x 1810 Stevens. The 1810 is the 1161 Rodonis x 1421 Stelts, both mother and father are amazing seeds. So all in all great genetics the whole way through.

the 1623's daddy is the 1725 that produced the 2009. The 1104's daddy is the 1789 that grew the 1872, that's what they have in common. Pollinated by plants that produced big.
