eliminate fertalizing two weeks before pollination period or at least when baby pumpkin appears in main vine tip ( this is ten days in most cases) bag male flowers the night before bag females the night before take males flowers inside in am - dry pollon a bit before use put a styrofoam cup over flower after pollination ( in extreame heat a fan on the new pollination will help insure success) cover new pollinations with shade - plastic lawn chair-or etc remove cup next a.m remove flower petal aff pollinate pumpkin by day three( if not it can rot the segments as the flower rots) on a warm day position main away from pumpkin as needed pap

Listen to Pap, I know I do! Also check out Bubba's diary. He has posted pollinating videos on youtube and the link is in his diary.
