I'm taking a consensus. If you have grown a 1662 could you please tell me if it was orange or not. Thanks. Scott

When this color is orange nearby the bright yellow cap, there is one fruit grown orange from the 1662.
It is the 1445 Michaud 10 a 1662 pollinated by the 1288 Wallace 08, as you can see with zoom on the shingle in this picture.

I grew the 1810, was a splitting image of the 1662, just not as large, Orange and smooth

This is the 1450 Wallace which gave that orange gene to the 1662 Gene pool.....
