The weather has turned for the worse, and I know people have been poring through last seasons GPC results; at least I have. In your opinion what are the top 3 crosses of 2014 and why? (please do not include more than one of your own crosses)

1916 Barron (2009 Wallace X 1730 Werner) +20%/+11%. There were several crosses that involved these parents, but I'm in the 'Show Me State' and I like to see what the pollinator produces. I like this cross because the parents aren't closely related, both have produced over 2000 pounds, and both went heavy.

1479 Zywiec (1476 Hopkins X 2328 Meier) +20%/+0%. I'm a huge fan of the 1476 Hopkins seed line, and it doesn't get better than this! Perks of the 1476 seed line are PM resistance, % heavy, and % heavy. Not completely sold on the 2328 that pollinated it (full potential wasn't reached), but hey its a 2328 Meier how bad can it be?

1352 Northrup (1813 Northrup X 1495 Stelts) +17%/+25%. So far not a lot of talk about this seed. It would be a shame to think people are disregarding it due to its low weight. Can you say HEAVY? Think 1495... to the MAX!

Hey Logan,I really like the 1479 zywiec also. The 1479 looks so much like the 1810s Grandparent. Cross that with the 2328 and bam-I'm growing it. 1810 stevens seems to mix well with 1725 harp. eg 1789 wallace/ 1655 ford

1625.5 Huydic (2009 x 1725) 1725 Blew her BES at day 38-39. 2009 grew to 1625.5 with not even 1/4 of its plant after I made a mistake with drench program. Both plants where just unbelievable. Same cross as the 1985 Miller, and I promise it will produce the same offspring if not stronger/bigger.

1692.8 McMullen 1625 Gantner X 1092 Naylor 27% heavy. The 1625 is 1495 Stelts X Self and the Naylor is 991 Urena X 1725 Harp all the right ingridients 1725 big shell 1495 & 991 heavy to the charts. Second and could be better, 1698 Ceja 2014 1000 Ceja 2013 estimated by 1985 Miller 10% heavy at 422 ott. The 1000 Ceja is 1495 Stelts X 1725 Harp only grown one time I believe and the only cross made like it with the 1495. Either seed could pop a big one.
