Mother was New England Blue (NEB) hubbard squash pollinated in 2014 by the Atlantic Giant 1172 Singleton 09 a selfed 1385.5 Jutras 07, which was from the mother 1068.2 Wallace 03... all three grown in Rhode Island.
Since the NEB normally has far too little fruits on that very huge plant, I wanted to use it as a new base for a giant variety.
Through xenia (influence of pollen in the parental generation) weight is around 50 % higher as mother, but F1 will show much more.
Who wants to grow F1 and pollinate with AGs from Rhode Island again?
I do not want to do this job in Europe.

I have crossed the hard rind of NEB with jumbo banana pumpkin to develop a giant fruit then for agriculture with very hard skin, and I grow many edible varieties.
I give away seed of the Rhode Island Blue Giant for free. Every grower can treat it as his property, but the name Rhode Island Blue Giant only should be used, when the breeding line is developed with pollinators from Rhode Island AG growers.
I would appreciate, if I had to send only one parcel across the Atlantic to a distributor, who takes the costs for serving the other growers. So I will wait until the end of February for eMails to ludwig.ammer@gmail.com
