I have grown GP 3 of the last 5 years and most of them turn out light orange. Any tips for a dark orange one would be appreciated. I am in South Mississippi.

What seeds are you planting? Are they from very orange parentage?

You can check out auction lots labeled "orange" to see what has been growing big orange ones. I'm going with the 1374 Engel this year.

Check to see if there are still some here. The 1374 Engel came from the 359 Foss seed. I'm growing the 359 Foss this year. http://www.billsbigpumpkins.com/store/seeds.html
