When growing in a small area like this,what is the best way to let the plant grow. 15ft main vine and 5ft on each side vines? Flag pattern 15ft main vine and 10 ft side vines?

I can't answer you question... but my plot is around 8x18 ft.I start about 5 ft from end,more root potential around stump.the limit is a set at 10 ft...but usually I slowly bend the main 180 around 10ft ft to have more sets...you might need a platform for fruit with underpass for main...I bend the intial secondaries,both sides to grow longer behind stump...I go down middle of patch with main to able able to turn either way around 10 ft depending on the fruit side at that point...

We've grown some big one with flag pattern...go with a 15 foot main and 10 foot secondaries and you can do very well. Good luck.

There seems to be no consensus about what is the best. Not everyone has wide open spaces to arbitrarily select a 10 x 15 area. Even using that configuration there have been several variations to vine pattern. My 150 patch has 5 sides due to space limitations.

I believe the key is to get as many leaves and root nodes into the planting area as possible. The way to do this is to get as long of a main vine as possible with secondaries coming off of bot sides. Once the secondaries are out you can cram them really close together.
