A well intentioned family member who is interested in our "Pumpkin Hobby" is going to give us some various dried gourds on Thanksgiving. In particular he want's me to grow these Hubbard Squash which he feels will cross pollinate with Atlantic Giants. He's also a "Green Industry Lifer" & thinks it would be a fun experiment. They are also Cucurbita Maxima & so far as I know, would cross. But what if any sort of horrible effects might become the progeny?

A local pal of mine has been crossing AG's with Hubbards for years, most of the fruit are elongated, kinda warty looking, and nearly solid inside. He weighed a 340 pounder last season. He has been selfing one Hubbag for 5 years, their freaks!

Ps. They taste great.

My brother and I grew a hubard squash, or thats what it turned out to be anyways. The offical weight on the hubbard squash was 157 lbs. We decided to keep the seeds even though it isn't a pumpkin. It was nice and long and wide, with the whole pumpkin being green with a few white lines.

"Hubbag"---LOL!
i would find it appealing to grow an AG with the same
texture as the 1061 Zehr, nice 'n warty, lumpy, plenty of grab-points when moving it......if one breaks off,
"break for lunch"........mmmmmmm, tasty!
