Last year I did a seed-only patch @ the farm...10,000 sq. ft., 17 plants, 38 pumpkins. Got some great crosses but my personal pumpkins suffered in size and weight because of taking on too much and not having the time needed to attend to them properly.
So, this year I'm considering a "patch & grower for hire" just to grow my specified plants for the genetic crosses only. I'm not looking for size or weight, just my desired genetic crosses that will be tended to properly enough to produce mature seed. I could then prove them out in subsequent years at my home patches.
Anyone willing to seriously discuss some arrangements? Not to offend anyone but I'm looking for someone with experience who has also grown large ones themselves, as well as multiples for seed only ie: a Welty, Hester, or Beachy type individual.

Tom Beachy offered to do this for anyone that wanted crosses done last year. I don't know if any growers ever had him do it or not. He might still have the offer open for this year. Contact him and see.
