Did anyone make the 2145 McMullen x 2009 Wallace cross or the reverse cross?

Yep that's John Barlow's cross. The 302D30 grew to 302 OTT at Day 30, then stopped growing. I believe he harvested it at day 36. I have one in the hoop house now.

The cross 2009 X 2145 was made in 2016 in my patch. Unfortunately the 2009 plant went down in early August. The pumpkin at the time taped 1,275. It was brought to a local early unsanctioned weighoff where it came in light at 1,220. The 2145 sustained two long splits in the main vine five feet from the stem of the pumpkin on August 7TH shutting down most of the plant except a ten foot section of main vine past the pumpkin and a few secondaries. I kept it on the vine and watered it heavily with daily doses of foilar sprays. It was weighed on August 20TH at another unsanctioned weighoff (Marshfield Fair in Mass) it came in at 1,240 pounds at 7 percent heavy. A few growers do have the seed to plant this year, but I don't know if it will be planted. I germinated a few and put them in two of my hoops on April 23, however they were put in as backups to plants already placed in the same hoops on April 17TH. The plants put in on the 17TH were far ahead of the backups put in on the 23RD, so the backups were recently cut from my lineup. The seeds are large and very full and I have 149 left. The 2009 had a lot of good orange, however it turned out to be a very high large truck tire shape with a sucked in blossom end. The 2145 had a great shape, no orange and if the main vine didn't crack in two places, I believe the pumpkin was headed for 1800-1900 plus.

Thanks for the replies.
It will be interesting to see if John Barlow seed to well this year. and pooh-bears too if they got planted.
Since I can't plant one this year. I'll be looking for this for next year. I don't want to start a bad trend and make the earliest seed request ever. So at this time -I'm not officially asking Pap & Ron for seeds from a 2145 x 2009 cross that hasn't even been made yet. (wink) :)

My 2145 is favoring the 1625 side...big time..small leaves, doesnt flag in 99 degree heat.... Pretty exited since I crossed the 500 Wallace with the 2145. My 1625 cross X 2009 last year shows 1625 traits with 2009 looking long babys..... with no flagging in 99 degree temps. Now crossed with 500 Wallace. For those with extreme heat issues... these plants would be preferrable as they exhibit great root systems

500 Wallace is the 898 Knauss pollinated with the 845 Bobier. The 845 X 898 reverse cross produced the 1068 Wallace.
