I'm looking for an 801.5 Stelts, 846 Calai, 567.5 Mombert, etc. "progeny" seed that *consistently* produces high quality COLOR fruit that are bright orange or a deep red/orange.
I have a few ideas and have worn the AGGC site out looking but would like to hear some others opinions. There's alaot of pretty pumpkins out there but just how many actually repeatedly produce pretty ones of their own? (Yes, I know all about the 810 Dill, and 1016 Daletas, and if you have either for trade e-mail and I'll make it worth your while)

Vince Zunino's pumpkins are almost always deep orange, as well as offspring from his stock......Paul

Bob Troy's pumpkins out here in California win beauty contests pretty consistently: super smooth skins with little to no ribbing, deep orange almost red, round like a field pumpkin. I was going to suggest getting in touch with Kyle, too, but then I realized who made the post... :-D

I have some seed from Bob Troy as well as some from Kevin Smith (Pumpkin Pirate/Squashbuckler) if you would like some.

Check out my diary later today... I'll put in a picture of the Troy pumpkin that won "Prettiest Pumpkin" at Elk Grove last year.

Thanks Toby, I've got those pics, killer color huh?. I've got most seeds mentioned and some that will be. I just can't decide which of the many to choose from...drivin' me nuts :0)
(was told the 800 Emmons= zero to few seeds because of mice)

Mark....I would love to use my own seed,333, but didn't like the 333's pollinator to be honest. The color was great (red) but the shape is all wrong for the direction I want to go with the 208#...low, wide, flat.

How about the 1074 Calai?

might not be the shape that you are looking for though.

I am thinking about growing the 841 Stucker or 831 Miller myself. You can't argue with those "color" genetic lines.
