Since Beachy and Warnock brought it up I thought I'd take the opportunity to make my own shameless plug.
I've got (2) 2003 seed sent out freely to many out there that if you grow it/them I'd like to know how they do.
The 307# Little...709.5 McCallum X 951 Castellucci, 34% and 20% heavy respectively, maternal 1260 Weir genetics on both sides. The fruit grew fast and aggressive but growth shut down after a month and a half due to abnormal P:K ratios that stopped the root system growth. Weighed 19% heavy after 27 days cut-off the vine. Tall, round, very good typical 1260 Weir color.
The 208# Little...120 Frantz x 940 Mombert '98. The 120 Frantz was (138 Big Max X 922.5 Emmons) The 922.5 Emmons was (705 Stelts x 940 Mombert '98). So, the 208 pollinator was the same as the pollinator for the pollinator of the previous generation, got that? Interesting huh? Great color, pollinator was almost red. Should make a great carver, maybe a 300-400#lber, who knows? Big Max x 3rd generation Atlantic Giant this year for those that grow it and continue the lineage. I'm crossing it with the 940 Mombert 2000.
So, there's my shameless plug, lemme know if you grow 'em and have a great season either way.
