I have heard that the 627 is a very fast plant that produces big pumpkins, but the seeds are almost gone and are expensive. I am willing to trade some seed for a cutting of this incredible plant to see how amazing it is first hand. jakethebyrd@yahoo.com I will send a SASBP,
Just tell me in the message board to expect an e-mail.
Thanks

Why is it so great? I do not recall anything big grown from it as it is only a 2003 seed...
Let me know!

It is actually a extremely fast growing 1995 seed. You might be thinking about the 627 Hampton. The Hester grows so fast your pumpkin can blow up(they can grow 50 lbs. a day).

That's the 627.5 Hester 1995 (910 Nelson x 923 Brown)
In looking at it's progeny, it doesn't appear to be a very remarkable plant, and mainly grown only by Brett so far.
There are diamonds in the rough out there that haven't been proven yet, but this seed has been grown and it's statistics doesn't seem to match up with your information. Who knows though, could be a winner?!

BTW Jake...e-mail me about the Southern Pumpkin Growers Association, I understand you're interested?
