Ok this year ( also first year grower) My Father

Grew 1 620 Boyton Seed.

Grew 1 Big Max Pumpkin Seed.

Grew 1 1178 L Wentzell Seed.

His FIRST pollination Took place on the BigMax Female
with a male Flower from the 620 Boyton Male.

Now in Oct hes got 5 pumpkins in the patch pulled

the BIG MAX that was crossed with the 620 Boyton ( controlled) was the largest of all weaighing in at 82.5 Lbs all others that were "open" pollinations due to 2 week vacation in July were much smaller.

Could this

82.5 D.P.M
Big Max female
620 Boyton Male

seed grow a much larger come 2005 growing season?

I was thinking of growing one from this fruit in my side patch come 2005 and crossing it with an 812 Laundry seed

just curious if seeing its got good genetics in it now could it grow a larger one come 2005?

thanks

P.S does anyone know off hand what the largest fruit grown off a big max was?

thanks again

southern

Appalachian Mtns.

120 Frantz = (Big Max X 922.5 Emmons)
208 Little = (120 Frantz x 940 Mombert '98)
*In 2004 M. Frantz grew a 500#+ off the 208 Little
*I crossed my 208 with the 940 Mombert 200 this year to keep the color lineage going...mine have deep orange/red color.

*Jack LaRue has grown a 300# off a BM cross, a few other folks as well. Don't know what the record for BM fruit is, but there are some BM x Atlantic Giant crosses out there.

Yes, I crossed and 80lb BM with my 200AG last year and grew a nice orange perfectly round 120lb est.I put this seed in late june as a backup and let it grow. The plant never had the time to get big but it produced a nice size pumpkin.

Great, Thanks for the Info.

Next year that 82.5 D.P.M will be crossed with an

812 Laundry 04

seed which will be grown in both my Patch and fathers patch
