1026.0 Jutras 2004 Pale orange, odd shape.

1021.0 Flores 2004 solid orange with nice shine, nice shape.

905.0 Popp 2004 Pale orange again, odd shape again

838.0 Fisher 2004 Medium/light orange, blocky shape, bumpy

703.0 Giarusso 2004 solid orange, nice and round

I asked this question earlier and this is the info I was given. I wonder if orange is dominant or recessive?

Hi Dennis and Mike
This seed has had a very good first year. The best in the 2003 class of the top five in the AGGC site so far this year. To my surprise the color of most of the 1225 were dark orange and smooth skined at the R.I. weight off. There were two more I know of the 904.5 Sperry and the 798 Rondeau both nice orange color.

With regrets... due to a slow start it was planted in a less than desirable location. 100sf of good soil in partial sun. Borers got into main vine 2ft in front of fruit. Shiny, medium orange with a nice shape. Still on display and solid. Fruit was the fastest grower in the early stages. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=28985

Yes that is a pretty good first year! I am very happy to hear that it did so well because I used the 1225 as a pollinator for both my 1083 Frantz 04 (842 Eaton X 1225 Jutras) and my 1125 Frantz 04' DMG (869.5 Calai X 1225 Jutras). I split my 1225 at a very young age when I was pushing the patch with a heavy dose of 20-20-20. The 869.5 grew 45 lbs a day and the 842 did 38 lbs a day after the 20-20-20 push and almost everything else blew. It wasn't on pase to be anything special, maybe 800 if I was lucky.
