I just received my soil test back, and it has me worried for next year. Here are the results...

ph 5.7
Calcium >4000 lbs/acre
Magnesium >500 lbs/acre
Phosphorus 95 lbs/acre
Organic Matter 13.2%

Recommendations (according to laboratory):
Apply 70lbs per 1000 sq. ft. of Limestone
20 lbs. of 10-10-10

Any suggestions on what I should add and at what quantities would be appreciated. (I am especially worried about the low ph.)

It's OK Matt. That's normal for our soils here.

Was the sample tested by the Ag Station with the Morgan method? or Uconn?

Either way; apply the amount of lime recommended as soon as possible. We're supposed to get snow on Monday so getting it down before then would be very good.

By early spring we'll make it a point to get you a better test that will show us the progress made & the work still required.

Did you ever get any manure down?

The sample was tested with the Morgan method at Uconn, and the organic matter by the loss on ignition. I hope to get the lime today and apply it.
I was able to get some manure down, but I would of liked some more. (There is never enough organic matter.)
