There seems to be a few enhancement programs for AG pumpkins. As a fairly new grower, (This will be my second year) what would you recommend and why?

A few programs that I know about are:

A. Fish emulsion, Seaweed, Calcium and BioGrow.
B. Agro-K program

Are other ones that growers recommend?

I'm trying the Agro-K program this year for the first time. It's expensive, but I thought I'd give it a shot. If I don't see any improvements over last year, then I won't bother using it again. Other growers have had some great results with it though.

The most important amendmant you can add is well composted manure. Add lots and lots. Once you get your soil in shape, then worry about foliar fertilizer etc.
Fish and seaweed are considered very important by most serious pumpkin growers. They are both components in the Agro-K program.
Foliar fertilizes will take you that extra mile, however they arn't a silver bullet or a short cut to hard work and experiance.
Remember:
Good genetics
Get your soil in shape
Have enough water at the right time
then worry about fancy stuff
Hope for good weather and good luck!
Get all these thing right = 1500 lbs....:)
These are just my thoughts on the subject
