Just curious here...Those of you who buried heating cables in the spring...are you using them again now and if so when did you turn them back on? I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble to try these this next season. Thanks for any advice, thoughts on the subject. Deb:)

You know.....on a still-growing late set fruit this would be a great idea especially if the plant is still productive. Alan Nesbitt had one of his plants fully enclosed last year.

The soil temperatures are slow to get going in the spring which is why we see them used to extend the season. But we rarely consider the graduasl decline of temperature in the fall.

Sometimes conditions might justify this effort.
