Someone would have to bend my arm pretty hard to get me to go that route. In fact I would not but that is just one man's opinion.

This is just hydrated lime (Ca(OH)2). Quicklime (CaO) that has been mixed (salked)in H2O.
hydrated lime that reacts with CO2 will give you CaCO3 and H2O.

still dont know if i would put it on. for the cost of regular lime (CaCO3), I wouldn't use the patch as a test subject.

I have used it successfully to change soil Ph and if thats what you are trying to do go for it but only in conjunction with a soil test. Beware....it works fast. Don't use it if you only want to raise your calcium level!
