I am wanting to supplement my additions of cow manure to my patch, with commercially available compost. What should I look for in a "giant pumpkin" quality compost? How do I test it to know I have what I am looking for?

Thanks

I would certainly advise to have your local compost tested before adding in major portions....my local source is WAY high in phos, and boron. Sometimes the local source has an analysis for you to look at...be sure to check the date, and source (if the local source did their own tests???, know what I mean) of the test...sometimes they are years old!!! Hope this helps. Peace, Wayne
