Is chicken manure good for the patch and how wuch per 1000 square feet?

Its juat fine just get it in now 6 IN.S and put soil actavator in like SYMBEX AND MOLASSES---AND PUT TO BED---and 8-10 inch of good broke down compost in spring--and actavate it again--craig

My first question would be "how old is that manure"?

Fresh poultry manure can create problems next year.

"Pudding" or not, less of the fresh stuff for sure. If it's aged has it been turned? High in ammonia is the biggest problem and that all depends on the age and how it has been handled.

I go with Dan on this one...a nitrogen load can cause a bad blight...to much nitrogen can casue a fusaria overgrowth or others.

Mix it 1:5 with leaves from this fall... Get it good and warm... let it sit until next fall...
