I got some free horse poo for my patch and it had these huge fruit bettle larvae (aka June Bug) in it. I pulled out the majority of them while I was spreading the manure on the patch. However we recently had some heavy rains and I found one that had drowned on the edge of my patch. Are these guys a problem? Do I need to spray for them? I am worried that because they are a ground dwelling bug they may chew on my root system.

For me its very comon to find the big white larvae in my manure , but one good spraying of merit after its all spread on the patch will take care of em.
