Would like to have atleast 10lbs of Humic acid as part of my Spring amendments for a 1050sq. ft patch. Which do you folks prefer? Will the granular product break down in time for planting?

I like to add the granular in the spring and use the liquid for foliar applications.

Some granular humate and its slow-release humic and fulvic acids is a good thing for most gardens. Add it a.s.a.p. It enhances uptake and "availability" by the roots of other ionic elements in the soil medium, attaches water molecules too, and helps create aggregation of soil particles. Humic acids are catalysts to a complete feeding of the plant. Earthworms love to process the granular stuff too.

If your soils have never had humates added before consider doubling to 20# for your 1000sf+ area.
