a 1/2 potting soil 1/2 manure, and pure potting soil options would have clarified the results.

I agree, I only had 4 pots at the time and those were the soil options for me next year. I've got 35 seeds coming in the mail and 6 more pots, I'm going to do exacty as you mentioned plus a couple more.

A second test like this is in progress including a 1/2 potting soil 1/2 manure and a straight potting soil. The third test will involve chicken manure. Stay tuned...
