Been reading up on humic and fulvic acids and was wondering if anyone ever tried any humates in a granulated form ?
Really trying to add organic matter to my soil and build it.

Granulated humates are good for soil health and confer a number of benefits to soil microbiology. however, their use as a means to build organic matter is not recommended.

High quality compost is the #1 most effective way to build organic matter. Use the humates as a supplement to enrich soil microbiology. Dont over do it though, more is not always better, especially as it applies to soil fertility.

Thanks Joe.
Last year I cut out about 1000 sq feet at my new house.
It’s pretty much 9 inches of topsoil.
The only think I had readily available was a bale of pro mix HP so I dumped it and tilled it in.
This year one of the local landscaping companies was offering mushroom compost.
I had to scramble to get some before they sold out so I was unable to test my soil before they delivered it.
5 cubic yards.
I thought about adding some humates alongside some kelp meal,bonemeal...
Added a couple of pounds of lime and gypsum.
It’s got to be better than what I had !
Also,adding some of Ron’s Mycorrhizal.
All for a giant melon,one cantaloupe,and several tomatoes.
