Here are the soil test results that I had done 2 weeks ago. Any advice would be appreciated. I have some ideas already, but some advice from a more seasoned grower would be great. I'm not sure what some of the numbers mean, but I'll post here what I was given:

PH: 6.9%
CEC value: 26.2 (clay soil)
Organic Matter: 8.6 (average)
Phosphates: 412 (high)
Potassium: 2.50% (low)
%K : %Mg: 83.33% (high)
Calcium: 89.70% (very high)

Nice CEC
Some of those % numbers are a little confusing...% of what?

Lawman,

Something here isn't adding up.

Try to locate the Percent Base Saturation for Calcium, Potassium & Magnesium. When added to Hydrogen (which may have no value) they should add up to 100%.

The other Ca, K, & Mg values will be express in PPM or Pounds per acre. Micros are too.

The email I sent you has my fax number. You could try send the report here via fax.

I've e-mailed the soil lab already, because the numbers make little sense to me as well, thought if I posted them here someone would recognize what they meant. I'll update as soon as I hear back from them and update this post. Thanks for the help.

James.

Haven't heard back from the soil lab yet. Useless.

James,

I got the report. It's quite different from the protocol we use here. I'll speak with my lab some time today & ask them what they think of it.

Thanks, I'm going to try a better lab as well. I tried to go cheap, and am regretting it.
