Hi, I am starting to get some ground worked up ready for planting latter in the year, about 80 square meters, Thinking of goind with a NPK fertilizer of 9-3-4+3% Calcium, once the soil oh is up to around 6.5-7
So, Just looking to find out what is best available in Aussie for these 3 foliage fertilizers.
1. Soluble seaweed foliar spay, all that i have really seen is seasol, Is anyone using anything else?
2. Soluble calcium foilar spray, Haven't really found anything here yet, but i am guessing there is something out there.
3. Fish foiliar spray, The only this that i can think of here is maybe blood and bone, but also thinking there must be something else out there. I have heard somewhere that some also use a sort of fruit finnisher/blosom booster that is NPK 0-52-34, not sure if we have anything like that here though.
Any information on these 3 foilar sprays would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Peter.

hi peter i dont use any seaweed or calcium sprays normally but i use a bit of powerfeed its a seasol fish foliar spray but before you add fertilizers it would be good to test your soil i have never tested mine but i aim to this year as i have been putting quite a lot of fertilizer on and i dont want to upset it by over doing anything we have rich volcanic but it is fairly acidic and i have used chicken manure which has a fair bit of calcium in it cheers dale

Cheers, will have a look at that powerfeed. I am planning on getting the soil test done, at the moment ijust have one of those basic do it yourself kit, ph is pretty ordinary here, around 5.5, so adding lime to bring it up cllose to 6 -6.5 and then get it tested. Ever used mushroom compost? Here in Tassie we can get a fair bit of it. the ground is 80 sq meters and was thinking to add about 4 meters of the compose to it.
