I was just wondering if there are enough interested Virginia growers here to start our own association? I know there was an SPGA at one time but just had a thought about doing a Virginia one. Is this something any of you guys would want to do? Just a thought......

There are a few accomplished VA growers, but the rest of us are all pretty new at this. Let's combine forces. I have some people.

I would love to do it, I feel like it would help us all and also put a little more fun into the sport. Problem is I have absolutely no idea where to start!

Cool Owen I didn't know that. Yeah Andy I've spent a little coin and gotten some good seeds but most of my good seeds have come from some really cool people who were willing to help out a new guy. That is why I'm hooking you up with a nice selection of seeds as well tomorrow.

Ok, I guess maybe the first step would be to try to have a meeting somewhere in a central place to everybody. Seems the only logical way to get our heads together and organize. Maybe a first time meeting at a resturant somewhere like Richmond? Heck for that matter I'm located almost dead center of the state here! I would be willing to set something up at a place here if everybody is agreeable and we can settle on a date. It's a small town but we eat dang good here! Hey this idea might suck but I am just brainstorming here (that hurts sometimes!). Anyone got any better suggestions on how to start or would this be acceptable? I for one am open to all ideas! lol

Mid Atlantic includes New York and New Jersey apparently but not NC so what would we call ourselves? I know there are more growers in Va, I've read their diaries from years past. Mostly looking to see when the SVB hits :) Does anyone know them? Roger did you really lose 40lbs with pumpinBo-flex lmao!

Yes , and 9 plants later, and 8 pumkins see if you can keep 9 plants under 300sq ft each with meticulas care(PUMPKINBO-FLEX)LMAO Rog.

That was last year ive learned my lesson the hard way, 6 plants more room plant size around 650 to 700sq ft this year, and put the pumpkinbo in the closet until July ha!
