I am just curious how heavy everyone got a pumpkin last year. I was able to get one to 306 lbs. I seen that the heaviest in ga was 698 by doug adams. Is that accurate? I need to know what I am shooting for! Seriously though, compared to the weights listed I didn't do to bad for just a holein my urban backyard. I hope to do a little better this year.

The Georgia record is 623 lbs but anything over 583 lbs would have landed you in the Top 10 last year.

Scroll down to Georgia & click it to open the current Top 10.

Yeah i looked at that website. I was just curious how the average grower did. Hey Jason, I too was looking for a weigh site. I did have the option of driving mine to Altoona, PA to their weigh off. My uncle Marv Hicks helps me out alot with tips and pointers. But anyway I couldn't get the leave from the army so I just used the OTT method and then chopped it up and weighed each piece and came up with a guess weight.

Gentlemen:

The Georgia record is 698 lbs. held by Doug Adams.
The 623 lb old record was held by mike Nepereny.

Your uncle Marv Hicks is a great guy, I have met him on several occasions.

Just another data point B. Bessie's estimated weight was 502 lbs, but she sat for 6 weeks and leaked a bit and weighed 447. I think she was going light anyway due to her shape and smooth skin. That was my first AG.
