I was wondering if anyone in the North Carolina area knew where to get the fabric used to put under pumpkins. I used sand last year but that can get really expensive quick. Also an estimate on cost of this fabric would help. Is there anything else that will work like sand or fabric that some of you use? Thanks in advance.

Id also like to get some but have a hard time finding it. I also have used sand in the past and it works great but does get costly. Ive had good success with just sheets of non treated plywood. I still spread a little sand on them it keeps the slugs of your pumpkins. I found it too be the cheapest method.

I will use weed fabric barrier. It lets the water thourgh and protects the bottom of the pumpkin. You should be able to find it at your local hardware store , or of course Wal-Mart. Good luck
