I was on here looking for Tips and noticed you are from Carrollton. I live in Bowdon. I ussually grow watermelons and while ordering seed from P&P I thought I would try pumpkins this year to. Don't have anything impressive yet but it's fun to watch'em grow

Hello, I live south of Carrollton off hwy 27. 5 of the 7 pumpkins that have been grown in Georgia over 6 hundred pounds been grown in Carroll County. The state record is 698 pounds. It is going to be a ruff summer for them this year it is such a hot summer. giant pumpkins don't like it real hot. Our climate is much better for the giant watermelons. One of my friends that grows lives in Burwell. Where do you live? My email is onedude@bellsouth.net if you would like to email me. Doug Adams John 3:16

Hopefully one dude a couple pumpkins that are over 600 pounds are going to be grown right in North Georgia this year in my patch. If the svbs arent taking my plants down I got a good chance ill post some pictures soon. I have some pumpkins that are werll on their way but have slowed down because of lack of rain and the heat. Good luck to all in georgia this year its just too bad I wont be able to get official weights theres no weigh offs near by and ill be gone during the weekend of alldart Tennessee. We got to get a weigh off some were in the middle sometime.
