My boys want to grow a giant pumpkin for the fair next year. Our pumpkins did not make it this year sad to say. I am wondering if someone can help me with the timing and geting some seeds? I posted on here yesterday but for the life of me can not find it. Our county fair is always the second week in September. So when do I start the seeds and then move them outside. My hubby thinks I am nuts I have notes everywhere. So any help would be great.

Minnesotan here, (also new, 1st year) just reading all the messages. You have come to the right place, bigpumpkins. You can ususally get seeds here just by asking, if no responses here, try general discussion or new growers on the message board. November is when seeds are traded or given most, sept. oct pumpkins are ususally harvested, seeds are cleaned and dried. (I have only started comming here since spring but that's what they say)bye.
