The 2nd Annual Mountain City, TN Pumpkin Fest will be held on Oct. 16-17 with the weigh-off on Saturday the 17th at noon...registration at 9am. Last years winners were:

This year will surpass our inaugural Pumpkin Fest with even more pumpkins, squash, and watermelons. The pumpkin cash prize schedule has been increased from last years $150 1st, $100 2nd, $50 3rd to:
Pumpkins
$400 1st
$250 2nd
$150 3rd
Squash 1st prize last year was $100 and will be increased to $200.
Watermelons are welcome for ribbons prizes.

The Pumpkin Fest itself offers food vendors, musical entertainment with several well known groups such as the Adam Larkey Band and Trey Hensley who is a Nashville recording artist star. There will be National Champion Storytellers, pumpkin chukkin', seed spitting contests, inflatables, hay rides, bonfires, pie eating contest, and the infamous "Scarecrows on main Street" which has already become a sensation in this area, and many other events and surprises.
AND, not only is the fall foliage forecast shaping up to be one of the best for leaf color in the last 10 years, we are located in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains with rustic charm and stunning views.
Just 30 mins North of Boone, NC on Hwy. 412, you will not be dissapointed with our charming town and it's people.
