Hello all im new to this me and my dad got some seeds and want to try our hand a growing some big pumpkins can anyone help with when we should start our seeds and any other tips for growing in tennessee thanks for the help evryone have a good day

bgates...the normal estimate is 60 days of plant growth, and then 90 days of pkn growth!!! So, find the weighoff you want to attend, then subtract 150 days...and hope Mother Nature doesn't upend yer plans!!! & sorta thinkin that John & or Lil Jimmie Wallace, might have started one a couple days earlier? Not awl secrets are told!!!! By the way!!!! KGPG weighoff is 3rd Sat. in Sept!!! Bear Wallow Farm!!! Peace, Wayne

You should be okay with last week in april , setting out first few days in May. Tennessee State Fair first week in Sept, Allardt Pumpkin Fest Oct 6. You have many options.
