I asked for ideas in my last SPGA e-mail, went out to 20 or so growers that I have addys for and have expressed an interest...2 replies is all I got back. Can't do it all myself without input :0)
If you're interested in the SPGA and/or a Winter meeting, and haven't been on my e-mail list...contact me. I'm wanting help getting the SPGA up and running, and a few folks here and there have expressed an interest, but we need funds and activity before I can take them up on the offers. Website will cost a minimum of $700 and we need that for a fundraising seed auction, newsletter, membership drive, lots of other things I have/had planned for the website....I don't have the extra $400-500 out of my own pocket right now to get things launched, with 2 kids and Christmas a month away.
Sorta waiting to see how interested folks *really* are before I deplete my own savings.
Lemme hear from ya' folks if it's going to happen.

As 1 of evidently only 2 people that responded, I can only speak for myself, but, in my mind the first course of business(actually "the next course" since you have already done a lot) at this point may be the continuation of the ever growing winter meeting. I see no reason to change the course of that snowball. It would also serve you well as a pulpit to pitch your ideas for the direction of the SPGA. I for one have really enjoyed all aspects of the meetings and would hate to see them go away. If you would like some help in reserving the facility just let me know, BF

Kyle,
You have done a great job. Dont want to hurt anyone in the wallet so dont go into your savings save that for those 2 children of yours.
But i have emailed you twice and have heard nothing.(Sambo) Sam has said the same thing.maybe you are not getting mine or others email..maybe we can post any ideas in this room..
I agree the website is a must.
Meeting where we can all put are heads together sure we can come up with some great ideas..
Kyle let me just thank you again for taking on this task..
I know we all lives ,jobs, etc, etc.
If we can all agree on one day or weekend to try to jump start SPGA. I think it will be well worth the effort.
someone down here has to grow a monster (1000lb)
might as well be a member of the SPGA.

Sam's mail I got, there was no need to reply to them. Yours I didn't get. The other reply besides Brian voted for Knoxville.
