PS. Please don't take this little effort to get us communicating, as some sort of leadership role or quest for one. I'm just one lil 'ol grower from SC looking to maintain this loosely knit group of passionate southern growers via the continuance of our winter meetings. We had a director...a director that wanted the job. That, in and of itself is hard to come by. But, for reasons good or bad, reasons only individually we know, we chose not to support him fully. It's now up to each of us to step up to the plate to pull our own weight.

As I said in my e-mail to all the folks on my SPGA mailing list, my offer to try and organize the Winter meeting still stands. But, as I also stated in the e-mail, I would need some committment on who would be attending, funds per person if advance monies are required , some ideas and suggestions on location, ideas for agenda topics, requests for special presentations,etc.
I'm more than willing to lead things along, but I can't do everything completely on my own.
