Hello dear fellow growers. As you know I have been out of the web for a while. Two things keep me away from you friends, first af all I hade to take vacations from mid july to mid auguest and an arrangement with some friends to travel all together were made, so I couldn't say a word... too big risk of divorce.
I trusted in my experimented neighbour Jose Mari to take care of the three plants, as he did so well last year.
But the weather this spring and summer in Spain has been too much for these plants. The dryest and hottest spring and summer for years. And we have water restrictions I didn't expect. Plants needed watering 8 hours during day time, and they only got night watering.
As a result of that, all the fruits aborted and even the plants got too many burnt leaves. No fruits for me this year.
From here I like to take my hat off to that great gardener who is Borje Gustavson for his great northern monster. And I expect many of you to overpass the 1000 lbs barrier this year.

As we use to say: WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR !!! Of course.

Carlos

Yes, the weather in Europe was strange this season. May be, he who is responsible for this in heaven is'nt a pumpkin grower. lol
Do you need some 1036 Perez 03 seeds for next year?

Yes friends, it is sad to see the patch devastated by heat when you return at home. Here people say lot of things about the climate, it is changing... or not...
But bad years always come sometimes. Maybe I will have to thing in making a great water reservoir, as Juan Louis have in his, because water restrictions is a possibility here for the future. And these fruits need a great amount with my summers.
