Congrats to Karl Forster of Austria on setting a new Austrian record! Here are the Top 3:

Karl Forster 273.5 kg or 602.8 lbs
Heino Helbock 235 kg or 518 lbs (First year grower!)

Great job by all!

Thanks Owen!

Those guys Karl and Peter did a great job breaking the Austrian record. The weigh off was superb and exciting `till the end. We enjoyed the Styrian hospitality and stayed for two nights. Nice people to meet from all over the country. Also a great job done by former Austrian champion and record holder Joachim Hammerl with the organisation and inviting us to his home (had some great wine and dishes, also roasted pumpkin seeds). He promised to be back next year.

I was very happy with my big one weighing over 500 lbs in my first gardening year. Goal for next year is 300kg.

Tired after 2 times 8-9 hours driving, a day of joy and excitement, two nights of party ...
