I know that in a world scale my pumpkin is quite small, but I am really pleased to tell you that I`ve got the new Norwegian record on my first attempt. 318 kilos, or 701 lb.
The old record was 188 kilos, so I am very pleased with the fact that it is a big jump from the old to the new. The seed that gave the pumpkin was of a Olsen seed from Germany, pollinated with a he-flower from a 929 Wagler seed.

Congrats on your fantastic accomplishment. The weather conditions that you must grow in are not easy.

The seeds I sent you are not the reason for your success, your ability as a gardener and giant pumpkin grower are what made the difference, my hat is off to you.

Do you have a link to any on-line news about your new Norwegian record? Maybe start a diary and post a few pictures.

Congrats again, living in a environment that could be compared to Alaska and producing a 701 pound pumpkin is a great accomplishment.

If you should ever want seeds again I would be proud to help you, you have proven yourself as a gardener with big potential.

First of all: Congrats!!!
Second: You should definitely start a diary and post some pics of your 2014 pumpkin season (I´m sure you had taken some pics of your plants and pumpkins every couple weeks/months). That could serve as a good inspiration/motivation for other growers in Norway...as soon as they see how you have achieved your excellent newbie goal, they will conclude that they simply must try it themselves.
