I used to have an account here but I lost it, so I had to make a new one.

I've been trying to grow giant pumpkins for about ten years now but for most of those years I've made the mistake of trying to do it using seed catalog seeds. I'm pretty sure by now that the genetic limit for the weight of those is about 20 kilos.

Year before last I had some seeds from a 1300lb or so pumpkin but it had ribbon vine and a late start and didn't come to anything. Last year I didn't do any growing due to university commitments.

I now need some seeds with decent genetics for this year but there's actually nowhere to get them in the UK except by asking on here... so any UK growers got any seeds they could post?

I did have some big seeds but they failed to germinate, someone offered to send some from the US but he seems to have let me down and the growing season is ticking by and I am getting anxious!
