Havent seen many posts on how the greenies are growing......

I have three going, 848, 1053 Werner, and the 1040.6 VanRompaey. First greenies ever for me, the 848 has frills on the bonnets of the flowers how neat...
The 848 crossed with the 898 Knauss is a stout growing plant, very think vines ad good grower. I didnt give the 1040.6 its best chance for growing and will regrow this next year at Jareds. Hope to have a few greenies pollinated here soon. Hows yours doing?

Still trying to get something to set on the 834* main vine....they keep aborting on me. I do have an 834*x self set on a side vine

I can't set anything on my 1131. It only had two females form on the main vine and both shriveled up before pollination.

I'm trying to grow a 946.5 Carlson-Petersen, and having lots of problems. It started out fine, then started wilting every day. It started coming out of that, then some of the leaves started getting discolored. I think it was sensitive to some Ortho Max that I sprayed. 2 other plants were hurt by it. It seems to be starting up again slowly, but still no female flowers. It is only about 9' long so far.

I had planned to start several squash seeds. The 1053* Werner would not germinate for me. I ended up with a 848* and my own 586*. The 848* has broken its main at about 15' and a 13' attempt failed to open. That is the first time I have seen a flower abort before it even started. But the good news is there is a fruit set on side vine. The 586* has been a good plant but wild growth is hurting the fruit. The main is out past 25' and I have yet to be sure that a fruit will take. I had a good one at 17' that stopped growing at 24".

I'm growing the 1086* CARLSON/PETTERSON 04, I have one set at 14 feet out. Started slow but picking up speed, at 22 lb on day 11 (selfed) . Great plant, was also slow getting started. Took a cloudy day with a high of 80 to get a set on it. I also have the 611 GADBERRY 05 in a genetic plot.
