Are there any major differences in growing squash vs. pumpkins? Anyone have helpful hints for a first time green grower? |

Once you get used to the interventions from well meaning friends (just look at it as free food and attention) trying to get you away from green they are the same. |

It seems to me that squash have long stems that pumpkins dream of. they seem to abort alot, so pollinate many? great contrast for carving. |
